Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel - Portland, Oregon

I recently stayed at the Sheraton Hotel near Portland Airport, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made check-in and my stay much smoother. The lobby was beautifully designed and welcoming, and my room was well-appointed and comfortable.

However, I did have a small issue with the shower as there was a bit of dirt on the wall by of the tub. Additionally, the bathroom felt a little smaller than expected. Despite these minor concerns, the overall experience was enjoyable, and I appreciated the warm atmosphere and excellent service.

I would definitely consider staying here again, but I hope the housekeeping team can ensure a spotless bathroom in the future.

Overall: Great event spaces and convenient location, but I don’t know if I’d do another stay here due to the lack of maintenance.

Location: Right by PDX airport, theoretically ideal if you’re flying in/out of town.

Room: Looked like tidy, but smelled off. Terrible musty air blowing through the vents to the point where it was uncomfortable being in the room, and nearly impossible to sleep due to sniffling/coughing/sneezing. Could be a ventilation design issue (no bathroom exhaust fan… 1 air return outside bathroom, 1 supply register in bathroom, 1 supply register by the bed) or a maintenance issue. Either way, it was not ok. If there is an air filter in there, it hasn’t been changed in a long time. The floors were warped, and water spots in various spots along the ceiling/wall suggest recent flooding from sprinklers or room above.

Service: The front desk and event staff were great. We enjoyed coffee at the small shop off the lobby. Event staff were excellent, as you would expect.

Facilities: The pool facilities were not well maintained. The hot tub was drained, but there was no sign to indicate it was being worked on or when it would be reopened. The fan recirculating air in the room squealed loudly like a worn car belt on a cold morning. There was some sort of buildup of dirt along the drains which lined the perimeter of the pool.

This is like a multi floored motel that was probably the best place to stay 75 years ago but it hasn't seen any care in a long time. The hottub was empty and the pool has big glass windows to the main hallway. Pillows are all feather, no alternatives. Service was excellent and location was perfect next to the airport. They have a VIP lounge and restaurant. Food was just fair.

I frequent this hotel! They are excellent to their employees, and it shows in their smiles and willingness to go out of their way to make a customer happy. If you can get into the Club Room their service is excellent. For the past 10 years this place feels like home away from home because I get to see the same staff each time, and they remember my name! Teresa, Judy, Rhonda, Maria, and Rocky in the bar are just a few of the amazing staff! I highly recommend staying here !

Positive: Location Negative: Our phone didn't work in the room. No wake up call. No bath soap. No hair soap. No mat in bath tub, No bar in bathtub to grab. I'm 73, my roomate is 66 with disabilities. Bathtub was very slippery. And the towels were like sandpaper.

We usually live to stay at this location but this past stay was a little off. The room felt like it was half cleaned. Only one full size towel and one hand towel for the two of us. In addition the shower didn’t have a body wash pump bottle. The bed was very comfortable and the room is surprisingly quiet for how close it is to the airport runway. The staff did take care of this issue but it was already 12:30am when we checked in so it was unfortunate timing for us.

It all began with Marissa at the front desk. She was kind, professional, flexible and definitely followed through on any concerns I may have had. Actually, both young men at front desk were also accommodating. Of course, being so close to the runways for the airport one is going to hear the planes. Other than that, everything was perfect. Renta in housekeeping was kind enough to get water bottles for me and she wasn't even assigned to my room. The Sheraton also has a lovely menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a full drink bar. There's also free shuttle service. I've also stayed in other hotels close to the airport. This is, by far, the BEST!

I was visiting sister and family, not renting. Their parking is behind building. If you have room key, enhance is easy, but I had to call and get nephew to figure out which door I was at. I think family was happy with their service for all.
