Best Filipino restaurant in America! They will go above and beyond with the quality of the food they provide and they will give you more food samples than you can imagine! The restaurant staff don’t just treat you like a customer, they treat you like you are a part of their family! There is no better Filipino restaurant or any other restaurant in America that beats the service, effort, kindness, quality, and hospitality of the food! The price was amazing for two meats and one rice for under $10 before tax. This place all around is not only above a 9.5/10 but it is a 10/10!

Kainan Sa Laguna is our go to Filipino restaurant. Run by a sweet older couple, you pick and choose what dishes you want and can order combos. They have a lot of choices and they're always fresh and tasty. We always get the pork adobo, which they make with pork belly, pork sinigang soup, lumpia, pancit, and whatever else looks good.

It's a great value and the food is made with a lot of care. Always leave happy and full here.

Walking into Kainan Sa Laguna was like visiting an auntie’s house for a home cooked meal. Unpretentious, relaxed, with Filipino soap operas playing on the TV.

For the savory items, I got pinakbet, menudo, diniguan, and lumpia Shanghai. Everything was pretty tasty, albeit slightly on the oily side. The lumpia was fresh out of the fryer when I got them, crisp with a well-seasoned filling.

The real star of my meal, however, was the “sweet” part—the puto. This isn’t your typical cake flour puto. Theirs is made the old school way with rice flour. The (I assume) owner says it’s a three day process, which involves her grinding the rice by hand. You can really tell by the texture of it. It’s fluffy in an imperfectly perfect kind of way and slightly sticky/chewy with a kiss of sweetness. It was really a delightful experience.

I’ll definitely come back when I’m looking for a comforting meal to “bring me home.”

Kainan sa Laguna is a Filipino restaurant and the name means Dining in Laguna.

I ordered "Ampalaya" dish, a sauteed bitter melon, mixed with garlic, onions, scrambled eggs, pork, and tomatoes. It was flavorful and does not have the expected bitter taste.

I learned about the healing properties of bitter melon many years ago when my blood glucose started to go up.

It is available in tablet form or tea. As a food, it is prepared fresh and with the right ingredients, it becomes a delicious and healthy dish.

Food is good. Woman serving is rude and talks down on people; she doesn't even know what or who they are. She compels clients to speak in Tagalog (not all Filipinos are well-versed in it) and gave us (Finance managers) her absurd, inane lecture just because we don't recognize coins. Americans, for safety and convenience, hardly bring cash. One can't be in the business and be ignorant or unpleasant at the same time. She should learn if she wants to be an asset to the resto!

Staffs/owners are friendly and welcoming. The food is impeccable. We got 2 pork and 3 lumpia. Best lumpia I've ever had. 10/10 recommend!

Food is ok at first. After going back a couple of times I started noticing food were being recyled from the previous day. Lady serving who I think is the owner is rude. I usually support small businesses more so from my own country.
But sad to say, I won't be coming back due to her rudeness. Kabayan has much better food, quality and workers are very nice with great customer service!
