I am beyond thrilled to have found Madison! She is an exceptionally talented hairstylist who truly knows how to work with long hair. I’ve been getting regular haircuts with her, and every time, I leave feeling like a brand-new person. Madison is not only highly professional but also incredibly pleasant and polite, making every visit a delightful experience. Her attention to detail is outstanding, and she always takes the time to listen to exactly what I want, ensuring I get the perfect cut. Since she left her previous salon, I’ve been so grateful to have found her again. I highly recommend Madison to anyone looking for a skilled, personable, and all-around amazing hairstylist!

UPDATE: August Salon has graciously reached out to me and we have worked something out. Their professionalism has been outstanding, especially considering that this was not the nicest review.

I got my hair cut here last year and my hair is still dealing with the consequences. My hair was past my chest and needed 3-4 inches taken off to get rid of the unhealthy ends. This would put it just above my chest. My stylist (Aliza) and I both agreed that was the case. She also noted that I had wavy hair. On the longest pieces, she did only take off 3-4 inches. The rest of my hair, however, lost 7+ inches to these choppy layers that my hair didn't have enough curl to make work and that weren't mentioned in the consult. I don't have many photos from after the haircut because I looked so bad that I didn't want to have my picture taken. I did, however, dig up a photo where the issue is somewhat visible. (Pictured: day 3 hair, the long section on the right side, and then on the left side the long section was pushed over my shoulder so only the short section was visible). I have 2b/a hair, and what I ended up with were shorter sections with messy blending, and then 4" down was the rest of the hair. I can't unconscionably call these layers. After the world's poorest diffuse, I cried on the way home with damp hair and went to my usual guy afterward, where I asked that he cut all of my hair to the shortest layer, which was just below my shoulder. I do see some curly and textured hair in the review pictures that looks great, so perhaps I just got unlucky. My hair grows slowly, and I can only hope that I'll have long hair again by the end of summer. Next summer. I gave an extra star for using Davines.

I got my hair done with Aliza! She’s incredible and so talented at what she does. She cut my hair exactly how I envisioned. I highly recommend getting your hair cut with her or any of the hair stylist at this studio. A very positive experience!

Finding a new hair salon/stylist can be daunting, but I can honestly say I haven’t had a better experience than at Salon August with Madison! After attempting to colour my hair several times with mixed results at other salons, Madison made sure she understood the vision and helped me make an informed decision around the type of process and the shades of colour we were going to be using. Her understanding and passion for hair is unmatched and it shows in her work! I literally have never been happier with a cut and colour experience, the result was beyond amazing. Everyone at the salon is lovely and knowledgable! The space feels inviting and unpretentious while still giving a high end experience. If you’re looking for a new salon, try Salon August and definitely book in with Madison!

The salon august team is so professional and helpful to each other. The space is not only super clean, but trendy, good vibes, and comfortable. I had the pleasure of getting my first balayage with Madison who killed the ashy brunette balayage I was going for! She even booked some extra time for our appointment so I never felt rushed or like I had to be out of there at a certain time unless the hair was at the result we wanted! It was a great day and I love my new hair ?

10/10 Experience!!! Every time I go to Salon August, I am greeted by a wonderful team and come out super happy with my services. I go to Madison for a Balayage and she is always informative and educational during our appointments. I have been seeing Madison for a couple years now and my hair has completely transformed since seeing her. From what used to be dry and damaged, it is now healthy and long - all thanks to her. I would highly recommend this salon and Madison.

Romulo did an amazing job with my curls! He was very patient, answered all my questions and explained what he was doing throughout. Getting a haircut at a new salon is always stressful, but I couldn't be happier with the results!
