Knows how to cut hair. When you leave the Salon your haircut and blow dry looks amazing. I always get stopped and people inquire as to where did you get your hair done. With the cut Jon gives, you can easily manage your hair until your next visit. Each layer is precision cut and even. I can handle my hair between cuts after Jon cuts my hair. The Salon is super clean and bright.

In desperate need of a cut before a wedding this weekend, I called Jon Clay and was able to get an evening appointment with one of the newer stylists, Nora (She has been doing hair for 4 years I believe). While I usually insist on a Master stylist if I am forced to go somewhere other than my regular salon between cuts, she was the only one available. I am SO glad I found her!!!!

First off, I am super high maintenance when it comes to my hair. I saw the same person for 5 years while in NYC and since moving to NC had been going to the owner of a high end downtown raleigh salon. That was fine until we moved to Cary and I had a baby and driving 45 mins to pay $80.00 for a haircut every 6-8 weeks just isn't possible anymore.

My hair is long and thick and pretty difficult to get "right". Nora listened to EXACTLY what I wanted and gave me one of the best cuts I've had in a long time!!! She is professional and so easy to talk to, just the sweetest person ever. I can't say enough good things about her!

The salon itself is pretty basic, but honestly, at most of the higher end salons you are really just paying for decor and a attitude. 😉 If you are looking for a talented stylist who is reasonably priced who will listen to what you want call and ask for Nora!!! I know I have found my new stylist!

I just had my hair colored and trimmed by John. I feel like a super model. My hair is the deep red I have sought for years, soft, sleek, beautiful. John was professional, personable, and explained what I could expect based on my hair's previous coloring. He did not fuss at me (unlike other hairdressers) for trimming my own hair when I could not stand it any longer. I will be back, and I highly recommend him.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Jon is completely rude and self centered. I asked for blonde highlights. They turned out YELLOW. I asked him if he was going to put a toner on my hair (because that's what I have done every time I get highlights. I KNOW this because I've gotten highlights for years!!!) He said, "no I don't use toners." Uh....okay. So as he is raking through my hair...he poked me in the eyeball, scratched my neck and was VERY rough with my hair. I am not hard headed so I know rough when I feel it.

He kept reiterating that whoever did my hair before is why my highlights were yellow. He didn't offer to have me back to fix them. I called the next day to get it fixed and his assistant told me he would talk to Jon and call me back but that he was booked for a week. Sorry but I'm not going to wait a week and go around with yellow hair. Plus he never offered an appointment if there was a cancellation or ANYTHING. That was 10am. I heard nothing back all day so I went and got my hair fixed elsewhere. I loved how they fixed my hair! They actually used a toner...go figure.

So then I go into the salon to confront Jon and ask for my money back and he laughs and says that my hair "looks so ugly" about 5 times. HOW RUDE!!! After showing him pictures to remind him of my YELLOW hair he said it was "gorgeous" and kept repeating himself because that's what he does when he is wrong. I was like are you serious. So I demanded my money back and he said, "sorry I can't do that" as he walked away from me. Oooookay, Jon. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HIM. He is full of himself and rude. Says he traveled to London to train hairstylists yet doesn't know the simplicity of putting a toner on YELLOW bleached hair. I'm dumbfounded. DON'T GO HERE.

This was my first visit to this salon and I had a very positive experience. The stylist, Krystien was attentive and listened to my needs. She really did a great job to fix a previous bad cut (from another salon) and brought my thinning hair back to life. I was very pleased and received alot of compliments on the new 'do'.

Just returned from my 2nd cut in less than 24 hours! Manager graciously fixed my uneven hair, however I have a pixie cut rather than what I requested. Beware, many of the stylists are right out of school and need more training. Ask for credentials.

Read the reviews to this place. Look at the dates. Suspicious. Walk in and you will see the bad reviews seem to be most accurate. I walked in and called, each time getting absolutely NO personality. Went with my gut and didn't make an appointment. Instead looked at reviews. Good move.
